Completing a Previous Registration

Candidate's Guide to www.ukseocareers.co.uk

(An evolving list of supporting information)

Completing a previous registration

Background.

A "normal" registration takes only a few minutes. The candidate works straight through the registration process entering the data required and finally clicking on Register at the foot of the page titled Candidate Registration  -  Stage 3.

If the candidate is interrupted and does not complete, or maybe proceeds through the site by some other route which does not lead to the Register button at the foot of Stage 3, the computer will designate the registration as "incomplete".

Even if the candidate following an alternative route manages to use the editing facilities via the Personal Settings page to enter some, or even all, of the required data items, the computer will still designate the application incomplete until that Register button is clicked.

But candidates with incomplete registrations may return to the site at any time to complete.

How to complete ... click-by-click guide

  • If appropriate, click the "forgot password" link in the Log-in box. The system will dispatch another one, by email, within seconds.
  • Use your Email address and password to log in ... this will take you to a page titled Candidate Registration Stage 2
  • Complete any missing details and click Next Stage ... this will take you to Stage 3
  • Complete any missing details on Stage 3, and click Register

Technically, your registration is now complete. But the system will continue to prompt you to choose a job category, a region, and to upload your CV.

  • If the category or region is missing, the system will not be able to target the automated email vacancy alerts ... and they will not start coming
  • Recruiters will rarely be prepared to consider an application that is not accompanied by a CV.
