Google still the main focus for SEO jobs

Despite many noises over the years about the rise of other search engines such as Yahoo, google has still managed to achieve annual increases of over 5% in recent years.

The research shows that less than 2% of searches can through nearly 50 other search engines. The largest search sectors appear to have been Health and Medical related searches, with travel and shopping and entertainment after this.

It may be a ticking time bomb in the UK. SEO jobs are really only about gaining top google positions, of you are in SEM jobs, your unlikely to place too much emphasis on Overture unless your client doesn't have the budget for google PPC. As an SEO jobs on your agenda in the UK, it's difficult to know where to turn. The SEO industry itself is shrouded in a mystique only understood by the geeky few. If you turn to PPC click, there' always the feeling that 'somebody' is turning the 'bid price' button up al the time and you can't see who it is, or exert any control over it, or indeed exercise any choice to go elsewhere!
