A bright future for the a trade in SEO vacancies

The SEO companies there are at present will tell you that it is a very competitive market place, however, this in itself doesn’t present the picture as it really is. There are a handful of very large SEO agencies who are fighting for the business of the companies currently looking to employ the services of SEO experts. In reality, this tends to be very large companies and certainly doesn’t represent a large slice of UK business.

The truth is, any company that needs to place itself at the front of it’s market place (err, that should be every business!!) should be employing the expertise of SEO staff, whether they create internal SEO jobs or contract an consultant. There’s a logical progression ahead of us at present which will ultimately see a steady growth in SEO vacancies in the UK.

> The proportion of UK goods and services sold via the internet, rather than a physical location, will continue to rise.

> Along with the above, the awareness of the benefits of strong internet presence will continue to rise, and indeed the potential profitability of such positions will also rise.

> As people realise the differences in profitability of top internet positions, the more they will be prepared to invest to gain them (just the same as businesses presently are prepared to pay for to locations and addresses)

> Demand for SEO agencies will increase

> The numbers of companies creating their own internal SEO departments will increase, along with approaches to seo recruitment agencies.

> SEO vacancies will rise and the SEO recruitment sector will become very much more significant than it is now.

So how extensive is SEO recruitment at the moment. Well, my opinion is that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. The leading SEO jobs board (until now!) was displaying around 130 vacancies, a small number for a top ranking jobs board compared to other sectors. I am convinced that SEO consultants will become far more prevalent, in time I believe every firm will have one, or even a department as it becomes a key factor in any companies sales and marketing strategy.

At the moment, if you are in SEO recruitment, you may not find too many SEO vacancies around, that said, you won’t have too much recruitment competition. But wait for it, there may be a flood of SEO vacancies on the way. The SEO recruitment industry will of course catch up with this increase in demand, but in the middle, is a large slice of opportunity to make a lot of money.
